My Perfect Life Keeps Leaking Into Your Perfect Life (2010), mixed media, Foundation Kuenstlerdorf Schoppingen, Germany

A series of three sculptures that use organic materials and processes of decomposition, growth and transpiration. Can an evocative event be situated as a series of parameters and processes that provide a symbolic interpretation of a system, composed of mediums, subjects, objects, thoughts, in the midst of a transitory state? In this series of sculptures, I want to use leakage as a metaphor to allude to a poetics of hope through the design of dynamic (non-utilitarian) "systems" - that have both open and closed parameters, depend on the participation of internal and external elements, that change over time and that create a residue or trace of their existence.
